Successfully Navigating Change & Adversity

Col. Malachowski, the first female Thunderbird pilot, had a 21-year aviation career that included commanding an F-15E fighter squadron; combat experience in Iraq and Kosovo; and becoming a White House Fellow and adviser with posts at the Pentagon. After a devastating tick-borne illness left her unable to speak and walk safely for almost nine months, she was forced to leave her aviation dreams behind. Yesterday Malachowski shared her inspiring story about harnessing the headwinds of change.

During her inspirational presentation, Nicole stresses the importance of honoring your Wingman Contract, which is your promise to be trustworthy and professional.  It is an understanding that “you wil be there” when your teammates need you.
