Nashua, New Hampshire – WYVERN is pleased to announce Crew Aviation of Louisville, KY as the newest Certified Flight Leader! The innovative Flight Leader Program focuses less on regular auditing, and more on SMS effectiveness, as well as human factors and organizational culture (areas involved in 70-80% of mishaps, but are often not well understood, and often not well addressed). Operators are coached by industry veterans in a progressive, quarterly self-assessment and validation cycle with the intent of enhancing safety culture. The program provides pathways for operators of every level of advancement, ultimately culminating in the pinnacle of the program, the Flight Leader Certificate. Further, the program allows the operator to initially gain new and/or maintain existing Wingman certification without on-site audits.
“Crew Aviation’s Flight Leader Certification sets them apart from other operators in the air charter industry. This achievement validates their commitment to attaining and maintaining an enduring safety culture that elevates their performance above other operators who are just beginning to embrace the concepts of a formal safety management and safety culture,” says Sonnie Bates, CEO, WYVERN Ltd.
“Crew Aviation is both proud and humbled by the company of fellow operators, in the initial cadre of Certified Flight Leaders,” says Tim Peace, Chief Operations Officer. “While we, like others, pride ourselves on safety, Crew Aviation dedicates itself to being at the leading edge in Stellar Servicesm with safety standards, thanks to WYVERN LTD, exceeding any other standard in the industry today and sets the benchmark for all others to work to achieve. Much of the recognition rests with our team and Athos Santos, Director of Safety,” added Peace.
While numerous operators have joined the program in the last 12 months, Crew Aviation is among the initial cadre of operators to be awarded the certificate, having demonstrated effectiveness across all necessary areas of the program.
Please join us in congratulating Crew Aviation on their achievement of this evolutionary step in safety and safety culture.
