Helidosa Renews their Wingman Certification!

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic –  Helidosa Aviation Group has once more secured its designation of WYVERN Wingman Certified Operator following a successful Audit, conducted by WYVERN in June of 2020. The WYVERN Wingman Standard, the first air charter audit standard in the aviation industry, provides a safety benchmark that allows air charter customers to assess performance expectations against recognized industry best operating practices before purchasing air charter services.

Hector Jansen, Director of Operations for Helidosa states, “Helidosa Aviation Group has become a synonym for prestige in national and international markets, obtaining a high brand recognition based on its record of excellence in customer service and high security measures supported by a Safety Management System, which we demonstrate by successfully achieving for a third time the certification as a WYVERN Wingman Operator. We keep honoring our commitment by elevating the standards and exceeding all expectations in service while ensuring the safety of our passengers and crew in every flight.”

WYVERN Wingman Operators are evaluated by the Wingman Standard criteria. The scope of the evaluation includes an evaluation of operational activities, review on the company operational history and safety records, Safety Management System (SMS), internal evaluation program, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements, and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.

“WYVERN is very happy to declare that Helidosa is a Wingman Operator. Adhering to the Wingman Standard is evidence that the organization has a culture of excellence that is far above their peers,” says Sonnie Bates, WYVERN CEO.

About Helidosa

Helidosa Aviation Group, the largest private aviation company in Central America and the Caribbean, was founded in 1992 in the Dominican Republic as an executive and tourist helicopter charter company. In 2009, it started to perform air ambulance flights locally, but it was not until 2011 when the company welcomed its first airplane, a Citation Bravo, also gaining access to the rest of the continent. A few years later, in 2017, the group acquired their first Gulfstream 400, joining the limited club of intercontinental operators. As of today, they proudly have a fleet of 32 self-owned aircraft. Over the past ten years, its division has completed more than 3,000 missions worldwide. These missions clocked more than 137,000 flight hours with aircraft capability up to 3,000 nautical miles with non-stop range.

Since Helidosa started, quality and safety have been priority number one. Not only accreditations and high commitment to quality make Helidosa a preferred operator in the industry, it is also recognized for the diversity and unique global range of its fleet, smooth communications, and their compassionate and highly qualified medical care.
