GrandView Aviation Renews their WYVERN Wingman Certification!

Baltimore, MD: GrandView Aviation, LLC has once more secured its designation of WYVERN Wingman Certified Operator by maintaining Wingman status through the Flight Leader Program with quarterly coaching by WYVERN. The WYVERN Wingman Standard, the first air charter audit standard in the aviation industry, provides a safety benchmark that allows air charter customers to assess performance expectations against recognized industry best operating practices before purchasing air charter services.

“At GrandView, safety is priority number one for our VIP passengers, medical transplant team passengers, our crew and every team member,” said Jessie Naor, GrandView’s President. “The robust company-wide safety management program we built hinges upon a ‘Just Culture’ where together, we learn both from our successes and mistakes, making our entire team stronger. We are extremely proud of our WYVERN Wingman Certification renewal reflecting 15 years of accident-free hours.”

GrandView’s safety program is led by industry veteran Manny Figlia, Director of Safety, and managed by Joseph Hendron, Safety Officer. Demonstrating the priority safety plays at the 129-employee charter operator, the company recently suspended all operations, including flights, to conduct a mandatory all-day/all-employee Safety Stand Down at its headquarters and subsequently rolled out across its eight U.S. bases.

WYVERN Wingman Operators are evaluated by the Wingman Standard criteria. The scope of the evaluation includes an evaluation of operational activities, review of the company operational history and safety records, Safety Management System (SMS), internal evaluation program, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements, and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.

“WYVERN is very happy to declare that GrandView Aviation is a Wingman Operator. Adhering to the Wingman Standard is evidence that the organization has a culture of excellence that is far above their peers,” says Sonnie Bates, WYVERN CEO.
