FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida (October 15, 2026) – Sheltair has once again demonstrated its commitment to safety and operational excellence with the renewal of its WYVERN Wingman™ FBO certification across 15 of it’s FBO locations. The renewed designation recognizes the organization’s continued efforts to strengthen safety practices, support its teams, and maintain consistent standards throughout its FBO network.
As the largest network of Fixed Base Operators to maintain Wingman FBO status, Sheltair continues to distinguish itself through an organization-wide approach to safety and service. Recertification provides aircraft operators, flight departments, and private aviation customers with an additional level of confidence when selecting Sheltair facilities, knowing that each certified location has been independently evaluated against WYVERN’s established safety and operational criteria.

Renewal of the Wingman FBO designation requires a comprehensive assessment of the systems and practices that influence safety throughout an organization. Sheltair’s evaluation examined critical areas including its Safety Management System, organizational safety culture, risk management practices, emergency response preparedness, and employee training programs. The process provides an independent measure of how effectively these elements are incorporated into day-to-day operations.
