WYVERN Webinar, “Helping the Industry by Sharing Data”

With Flight Data Analysis becoming much more mainstream these days, those operators that are intently analyzing this data and fine tuning things are seeing great benefits. Perhaps those operators have even agreed to share this de-identified Flight Data with others to help improve the industry……that’s great, and thanks for going the extra mile.  But early on with Flight Data Analysis there were skeptics who didn’t trust the “system” with their private data and worried that it was going to be used against them.  Whatever their early reasons to hesitate were, the sharing of Flight Data has evolved into an industry-changing monster — that’s a good thing.  But that’s not what we’re really talking about here.

What if we could go even a step or two further?  Ever consider sharing your ASAP reports and your SMS hazard reports?  How cool would that be to add all this good “other” data to a growing list of outfits that share Flight Data.  Maybe you’ll learn about that one common event or scenario that’s bitten many others, but since you can now see the data and realize it’s statistically heading your way, you’re able to adjust for that scenario and avoid it all-together.  Exactly what good data sharing was intended to provide.

Our chief presenter will be Jeff Mittelman, Principle with Mittelman Aviation Solutions.  Jeff is one of the leading experts in the aviation data collection and analysis field, with decades of pioneering experience creating platforms in which operators can share de-identified data with their industry peers.  Jeff is a former member of the NBAA Safety Committee.  Please join us to hear Jeff’s thoughts and to share your own experiences and/or good ideas.

Aired:   Wednesday October 14, 2020, 1:00pm US Eastern Daylight Time
